Ben Daddona, 68, owned Jenni's Hallmark
Ben Daddona, 68, of Southbury, CT, lost a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) on Saturday, May 4, 2013. Beloved husband, father and friend, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Ben was born and raised in Stamford, CT, where he met his wife, Dorothy. They became High School sweethearts, married and began a family together; relocating to Ridgefield, CT, in 1981, where they lived and owned a family business, Jenni's Hallmark, for 22 years.
He took delight in serving the Ridgefield community and took great pride in helping others create memories.
He lived the last eight years of his life with Dorothy in Southbury, CT.
Ben enjoyed the simple things in life. His greatest happiness was the expression of joy through shared experience and reminiscence with his family and friends. The absence of his larger-than-life smile and deep laugh will be strongly felt by those he has gone in advance of: namely, his wife Dorothy Crane Daddona, son Benjamin Daddona, daughter Jeanne Daddona Young and son-in-law Jake Young as well as his extended family and dear friends.
The family memorial will be private
