Ridgefield resident Pat Sesto has been named director of the Greenwich Environmental Affairs Department.

She previously served as that town’s director of Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency.

Sesto, who has taken a leadership role in the development of the Norwalk River Valley Trail, previously served as director of Environmental Affairs Department in Wilton for 23 years.

Her appointment in Greenwich came after Conservation Director Denise Savageau retired in February.
