There is a Flash Flood Warning in place until 2:15 p.m. Monday, April 16.

Residents are being waned to avoid flood areas.

"Take care driving," said Dick Aarons, the town's emergency manager. "Big puddles can hide washouts, especially along road shoulders. Check basements for flooding."
Gary Lessor, assistant to the director of Meteorological Studies and Weather Center at Western Connecticut State University, said that the worst of Monday's storm will be coming through in the next one to three hours.
"Up to 2 inches more of rainfall in parts of the region. Could have a wind gust to 50 mph. Most widespread gusts 30 to 40 mph," he said.
