Superintendent Karen Baldwin will unveil her budget proposal for the 2018-19 school year at the Board of Education meeting Monday, Jan. 22.

In an email to The Press, Baldwin said the budget presentation “will outline essential investments and specific targeted investment areas aligned with our Mission and Vision of the Graduate.”

Baldwin did not give any indication as to what factors would drive next year’s school budget, nor what the dollar amount the schools might ask the town for would be.

In past budget presentations, the superintendent’s office has typically given a total recommended dollar amount for the school year’s budget, along with the percentage increase or decrease of the total from the previous year.

Board meetings are held in the conference room at the Town Hall Annex at 66 Prospect street at 7:30 p.m. Meetings can also be streamed from the board’s website.
