Kimberly Cooke Brown passed peacefully from this world to the next on November 6, 2014, surrounded by her loving family, following a four year battle with brain cancer. Diagnosed in 2010, Kim proved that she had an indomitable spirit, refusing to hear the odds of survival, and continued to live the same inspirational life that she led before her illness.
Born Kimberly Ann Cooke on December 6, 1958 in Boston, MA, she spent the first five years of her life in Duxbury, MA. (Duxbury was a particularly special place for Kim, as she spent most summers there from 1970 to 2014). Her family moved to Dayton, OH, then Rochester, NY, and Tampa, FL, before settling in West Windsor, NJ. Kim was salutatorian at her high school, then attended Bucknell University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.
