High school gets new picnic tables
The Board of Education signed off on a $4,477 gift for five new metal picnic tables at Ridgefield High School. The gift was from the school’s Parent-Teacher-Student Association.
According to Principal Dr. Stacey Gross, the new tables will replace the old, broken tables in the courtyard in front of the school.
Dr. Gross said the tables were not an item that had been in the district’s budget, but that the PTSA wanted to give the tables as an “enrichment” for students. She said the school would not accept any gifts related to curriculum.
The board voted unanimously to accept the gift.
