Curiosity will give way to hands-on experience on Saturday, May 20, from 9 to 11 when Ridgefield Academy welcomes children of all ages to its fifth annual Touch-A-Truck event. A variety of construction and emergency vehicles will be on location at Ridgefield Academy, and children are encouraged to touch, climb and learn. Touch-A-Truck will feature approximately eight different types of vehicles, and all will be open for exploration. Children can learn how these vehicles are used every day and also enjoy getting behind the wheel, turning on sirens and blowing horns. RSVP at ridgefieldacademy.org/touchatruck to let us know you will be joining us.

The second annual school Maker Faire will take place on Ridgefield Academy’s campus the same day from 10 to 3. The RA Maker Faire is a celebration of invention, creativity and resourcefulness and will showcase do-it-yourself projects in such areas as robotics, coding, textiles, music, art, rockets, puppets, cooking, baking, and more. Participation as an inventor is open to everyone.
