A Ridgefield High School student was charged with juvenile threatening in the second degree and breach of peace at police headquarters at 9 a.m. on March 15.
Ridgefield police said the student was apprehended after several staff members at the high school called the police in regards to a threat made on social media March 13.
“The juvenile who made the threat was identified by school officials and, at no time during this incident were school students and staff in danger,” said Capt. Shawn Platt in a release.
The juvenile is scheduled to appear in court Friday, March 25.
