Pot, 'shrooms, and dabs: Suspected drug dealer arrested on Election night
A Bethel man was arrested for possession and sale of a controlled substance at the Ridgefield Police Department around 11 p.m. on election night — Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Ridgefield police said Christopher Ryan, 37, was also charged with illegal sale, distribution, and manufacturing of narcotics, possession of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a report, Ryan was pulled over during a traffic stop at 8:43 p.m.
Officers on the scene conducted an investigation that found 40 grams of marijuana, 30.5 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, and 61 grams of “butane honey” oil, or dabs — a highly concentrated cannabis oil that users inhale after heating with a blow torch or a vaporizer.
Ryan was arrested and processed at police headquarters, and was later released after posting $500 in bail. He is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Tuesday, Nov. 20.
