Police report graffiti in Sturges Park

Ridgefield police are investigating a “large amount” of spray paint graffiti found throughout Sturges Park on buildings and lean-to structures.

According to report, police responded to a report of criminal mischief at the park at 8:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14.

Maj. Steve Brown said the spray paintings were “obscenities and racial slurs,” not Swastikas as have been left during previous graffiti incidents in town over the past two years.

Anyone with information should contact the Ridgefield Police Department by calling 203-438-6531 and asking to speak with Officer Carlos Olivares.
