Fire crews extricate man after Route 7 accident Sunday
A man was extricated from the side of his vehicle following a three-car accident on Route 7 at 8:24 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 18.
The accident happened in front of the the Golf Art shop, located at 609 Ethan Allen Highway.
At least one other person sustained injuries in the crash, and was taken from the scene by the Georgetown Fire Department ambulance.
The crash caused fire police to close down the state highway between New Road and Cains Hill Road.
Reached for comment by The Press, the Ridgefield Police Department said the investigation into the crash was ongoing, and that a report on the accident would be made public sometime Tuesday afternoon. It was unclear whether Saturday night’s snow contributed to the crash.
All three cars were later towed from the scene. Police reopened the road in both directions by 9 a.m. on Sunday.
