Drunk driver arrested after almost hitting police cruiser
A Stamford man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Route 7 Sunday, May 6, at 3:36 a.m.
Police said Roel M. Dominguez, 33, was also charged with driving with a suspended license.
According to a report, Dominguez nearly crashed into a police cruiser that was being used to block off the southbound lane of Route 7 while officers investigated a stolen car from the Pamby Motors Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership earlier that night.
The report said officers at the scene followed the car and pulled it over. Dominguez was given a field sobriety test, the report added, which he failed.
He was processed and released after posting a $100 bond. He is due to appear in Danbury Superior Court Tuesday, May 22.
