Car stolen from Casagmo

A car was stolen from the Casagmo condominium complex overnight between 11 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, and 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4.
Ridgefield police said the vehicle — a gray 2016 Subaru Impreza— was parked in a driveway unlocked with its keys inside.
It is the first vehicle stolen in town in 2019, and the first one reported stolen in downtown Ridgefield since a BMW was taken from the parking lot of Walgreens on Danbury Road on Dec. 30, 2017.
“We would like to remind residents to please lock their vehicles and remove the keys,” the department said on Facebook.
Police also reminded residents to remove any valuables from their car, and to close and lock garage doors and home doors to deter thieves.
“No leads at this time, and the case is under investigation,” said Capt. Shawn Platt.
“No other vehicles were entered or stolen.”
Anyone with information should call police headquarters at 203-438-6531 or the department’s anonymous tip line at 203-431-2345.
