Ridgefield Folk, the Ridgefield Library\u2019s live music series, kicks off its spring season with the Jacob Jolliff Band on Sunday, May 5, at 2 p.m. The band is led by one of the country\u2019s top contemporary bluegrass mandolinists, Jacob Jolliff.Jolliff has been playing mandolin since he was 7-years-old under the tutelage of his musical father. Throughout middle school and high school Jolliff picked in a bluegrass gospel band with his dad. When Jolliff was 18 he was awarded a full scholarship at the Berklee College of Music in Boston where he then joined the New England-based roots music band, Joy Kills Sorrow, playing in hundreds of clubs, theaters, and festivals worldwide.
