inRidgefield is a new marketing initiative that will promote the town as the go-to destination for arts and culture, special events, dining, shopping, and unique experiences to help support a strong and vibrant local economy, while highlighting the town’s advantages as an ideal place to live.

The public and the business community are invited to an open house to learn more about the initiative on Friday, May 18, from 4:30 to 7 at the Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance, 440 Main Street.

A sneak preview of the website will be presented, representatives from cultural organizations will share their information, and free raffles will be offered.

“Ridgefield is a town that has it all — world-class culture and entertainment, a caring community, great shopping, and superb dining,” said Wayne Addessi, who is spearheading these efforts. “As many towns are starting to realize, a targeted and professional communications strategy is necessary to get the word out to new audiences and attract people to town, which will benefit the community at large.”

The inRidgefield website and public relations campaigns will spread the word to wide audiences about what a unique and exciting town Ridgefield is – for visitors, residents, and new businesses alike. The initiative has been led and privately funded by a civic-minded group of businesses, residents, and nonprofit leaders, who are guiding the strategic direction for the project. They have selected SandorMax, a creative agency based in Sandy Hook, which partners with municipalities and nonprofits to boost awareness and engagement.

“The inRidgefield brand represents the energy, creativity, and excitement of Ridgefield’s cultural scene and community,” stated Julia Nable, SandorMax principal. “The website, social media, and public relations campaigns will broadcast the many wonderful facets of this town with the goal of attracting visitors, community participation, and new residents. It is inspiring to see the level commitment and vision the community has for the success of this initiative.”
