Ridgefield's Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) will visit Adam Broderick Salon and Spa for a behind the scenes look at what it takes to run a successful business Wednesday April 11.

Students entrepreneurs from the local area will learn the business aspects of running a salon, as well as the importance of dressing for success and presenting oneself in a professional manner.

"Adam Broderick will share his own entrepreneurial success story with the students," said Jennifer Zinzi, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce. "YEA! students will hear where the business idea came from, what the challenges have been and what skills it takes to keep the business running."

"YEA! is a groundbreaking program that teaches students how to make a job, not just take a job," she added. "In addition to lessons inside the classroom, YEA! introduces students to all types of businesses through field trips and guest lectures as well as by regular interactions with business mentors and community leaders.

"By engaging in this hands-on approach to learning, students are able to grasp what it takes to succeed and how to apply aesthetic principles to their own business ideas."
