Wrap-A-Rescue fundraiser to benefit ROAR, other local animal shelters

The second annual Wrap-A-Rescue fundraiser will be held Friday, Jan. 12, through Sunday, Jan. 14, in Bethel.

Items to be donated include: clean towels, blankets, flat sheets and pillowcases.

Dog trainer Diana Brady, who works at Cooperative Canines, LLC in Bethel, said that last year the event raised 1,500 items that went to nearby animal shelters, including ROAR in Ridgefield.

Cooperative Canines co-sponsors the fundraiser with Dilillo Real Estate, where donations are collected. Dilillo is located at 162 Greenwood Ave, Bethel. The office will be collecting from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, and 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

"Let's wrap our shelter animals in something warm this winter," said Brady.

All donations are distributed to animal rescue organizations in Fairfield, Westchester and Putnam Counties. For questions please contact Diana at coopcanines@sbcglobal.net
