Drew Arcoleo, a member of the Ridgefield High School Class of 2010, earned a strong round of applause on NBC's The Voice Monday night after performing Marcy Playground's "Sex and Candy."

Arcoleo, who performs under the stage name Drew Cole, picked Adam Levine's team after the former Maroon 5 frontman turned his chair around instantly after hearing Cole's rendition of Sex and Candy.

The former Ridgefield resident lives in Los Angeles as a professional singer-songwriter.

He had previously auditioned twice to get on The Voice, and was selected earlier this year after his third audition.

On Monday night, he earned praise from all the competition's judges, including Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and Alicia Keys.
