Bruno DiFabio, owner of The Village Tavern, will cook alongside the business’ executive chef, Luis Lopez, at the James Beard House (JBH) in New York City Friday, June 8.

JBH serves as a performance space for chefs, and is an historic townhouse where James Beard, anointed the “Dean of American cookery,” lived and taught cooking classes throughout the 1970s and 80s.

Only 200 dinners each year are hosted at the JBH, all by invitation only, and its mission is to celebrate, nurture, and honor chefs and other leaders making America's food culture more delicious, diverse, and sustainable for everyone.

DiFabio, a six-time World Pizza Champion, will treat JBH guests to a “flavor forward” five-course tasting menu with wine pairings.

“To be part of an elite group of people to cook at the James Beard House is a tremendous honor. I can’t wait for everyone to experience the culinary magic that Chef Luis has to offer. People will be blown away,” said DiFabio.

The dinner is open to the public and reservations are available on first-come, first-served basis.
