Storm update: 800 residents powerless, multiple roads blocked

Bayberry Hill Road, upper Barrack Hill Road, and Silver Spring Lane near intersection of St John’s Road remain inaccessible after Friday's winter storm.

More than 800 residents remain powerless as of Saturday, March 3, at 11 a.m.

"We expect the vast majority of our customers to be restored by Sunday night at 9 p.m.," Mitch Gross, Eversource spokesman said Saturday at 10 a.m.

"For a small number of customers in the hardest hit areas, like Greenwich and Stonington, restoration efforts may continue until the later evening hours Sunday."

As of the same day and time, 40,383 Eversource customers or 3% remain without power in Connecticut.

Several downed wires caused small fires Friday in Ridgefield, including one on North Salem Road around 11 p.m.

Other roads that suffered extensive damage and power outages are: Rock Road, Mamanasco Road, Wilton Road East, Keeler Drive, Ridgebury Road, Spring Valley Road, Caudatowa Drive, Old West Mountain Road, Nursery Road, Knollwood Drive, and Mimosa Circle.
