For the fourth week in a row, Ridgefield drivers will have to sit in lines of alternating one-way traffic at the Route 35 bridge site.

Ryan Wodjenski of the state Department of Transportation (DOT) told The Press Wednesday, April 25, that Bloomfield-based Baier Construction plans to alternate traffic at the site Monday, April 30, through Friday, May 4.

Baier is also expected to alternate traffic at the site Thursday, April 26, and Friday, April 27.

The contractor will be on-site throughout this week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. stopping traffic intermittently.

All plans for traffic next week are based on good weather, Wodjenski said.

The state hopes the project will be completed by the end of May.
