U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) will host two events with community members and advocates around Connecticut on Friday, April 6.

The first event will be a pancake breakfast in Ridgefield at 7:30 a.m. The event will take place in the north hall of St. Stephen's Church.

Murphy will provide an update on his work in the Senate and take questions from those in attendance.

St. Stephen's Church is located at 351 Main Street.

After Ridgefield, Murphy will join Trumbull First Selectwoman Vicki Tesoro and Senator Marilyn Moore for a tour Stern Village, a housing development for low- and moderate-income seniors and folks with disabilities. He then will host a town hall meeting with residents.

Trumbull received an $800,000 federal housing grant through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program to replace Stern Village’s heating and cooling units in 2016, and the town is currently applying for additional funding. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Murphy fought against President Trump’s proposal to eliminate CDBG funding and helped secure $3.3 billion for the program, $300 million more than last year, in the latest federal budget bill.

Stern Village is located at 200 Hedgehog Circle.
