The snow and the rain are chasing away the traffic — for now.

Ryan Wodjenski of the state Department of Transportation (DOT) told The Press Tuesday, April 3, that plans to alternate traffic at the Route 35 bridge construction site near Fox Hill condominiums have been delayed until next week — Monday, April 9, through Friday, April 13.

The original plans were for Baier to have traffic alternated Wednesday, April 4, through Friday, April 6.

"Baier does not plan on alternating traffic the rest of the week, there will only be minor impacts to traffic Wednesday April 4th through Friday April 6th," Wodjenski said. "Alternating traffic will proceed next week."

All plans for traffic next week are based on good weather, Wodjenski said.

The state hopes the project will be completed by May.
