While March might have been full of Nor’Easters, April is sure to bring something that should warm the hearts of Ridgefield families: The sound of Little Leaguer’s once again taking to the baseball diamond.

As Ridgefield Little League prepares to kick off the 2018 Spring Season (registration remains open for Tee Ball, Coach Pitch and 8U through April 10), it continues to make progress towards the new lighted field on Route 7.

As the construction and community fundraising continues, the league has set an April 1 deadline for donors who wish to have an engraved brick installed in time for the opening dedication ceremony, which is currently anticipated for late Spring.

“A brick is a great way to memorialize past, present and future little league memories” said Mike Bucciero,  fund-raising director for RIdgefield Little League.

Recent tax law changes that take effect in 2018 also make charitable contributions a great way to increase your tax deductibility for next year.

“We saw a great response last December but RLL is hoping for additional supporters to step up” said Bucciero. “We’re asking for donations this Spring in order for us to fully complete our community fundraising in advance of the field opening.”
