Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce names Kim Bova executive director
The Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce has announced Kim Bova as its new executive director effective Thursday, Oct. 4.
In the role as executive director, Bova will continue the tradition of engaging, supporting, and growing the Ridgefield business community.
"We were very pleased at the response for this position as well as the quality of the candidates," said Theresa Santoro, who headed the chamber's search committee. "The search committee was looking for a results-oriented individual with a vision to move the Chamber forward. The perfect candidate had to be familiar with Ridgefield's business community as well as its residents. We are so pleased to have Kim joining us."
Bova comes to the Chamber with considerable not-for-profit experience, most recently with the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra, as well as a broad range of business knowledge and experience as an entrepreneur and business owner.
Bova resides in Ridgefield with her husband and has a son and daughter that graduated from RHS.
"I am very excited to join the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce as Executive Director" Bova said. "I look forward to working closely with Chamber members and the Ridgefield community to support the town's retailers, service providers and nonprofit organizations in new ways that recognize and best address their different business needs. It's an exciting time to be part of the Chamber."
Jill Maguire, the current chair of the Chamber, said, "Kim brings relevant experience, integrity and enthusiasm. The Chamber and its Board of Directors is looking forward to welcoming Kim into her new role."
Maguire said that under Bova's direction, the Chamber will continue to roll out new programs, and continue to collaborate with the greater Ridgefield business community.
"I am excited to continue to work with all the wonderful business people in Ridgefield, and learn what we, at the Chamber, can do to support them," Bova said.
Maguire added that there will be several opportunities to meet Bova. "We're confident that everyone will understand why we enthusiastically support her as the face of our Chamber," she said.
