Republicans endorse O’Grady for judge of probate

Incumbent Judge of Probate Daniel O’Grady was unanimously endorsed for re-election as the 45th District probate judge by Republican delegates at their convention held at Bethel Town Hall on May 24.

The district encompasses Ridgefield, Redding, Newtown, and Bethel.

O’Grady was first elected in 1990, served for 20 years, and was re-elected in 2016.

A graduate of Central Connecticut State University, University of Connecticut MBA program, and Quinnipiac University School of Law, he brings to the court 32 years of experience as an attorney and 22 years as probate judge.

“Succeeding as a probate judge requires being compassionate, patient, and a good listener. I look forward to the November election and the opportunity to continue to represent the Region for another four years,” O’Grady said.
