Reenactment talks: Will soldiers battle again on Main Street?

Another reenactment of the Battle of Ridgefield is being planned.
“They want to do it again — just like that last one,” First Selectman Rudy Marconi said.
Marconi said Monday, Feb. 4, that he was scheduled to meet with the organizers of the major reenactment of the battle that was staged for its 240th anniversary, three years ago.
The organizers are confident they can organize another reenactment in time for the anniversary, which is April 27.
“They know everything they need to do, so they figure they can put it together rather quickly,” Marconi said.
“It was really neat what they did three years ago,” he added.”Everyone really enjoyed it.”
