Press offers free subscription to 20,000th Twitter follower

With 20,000 Twitter followers in sight, The Press is looking to reward the reader who helps it reach this special social media milestone.

The newspaper is offering a one-year paid subscription to the 20,000th person to follow The Press on Twitter. The subscription will also come with one-year access to The Press e-edition. The promotion is open to Ridgefield residents only.

“We’re proud that so many of our readers choose to engage with us on Twitter, and we look forward to rewarding the person who helps us celebrate our latest accomplishment,” said Managing Editor Steve Coulter.

Questions about the promotion may be directed to the circulation department at 203-402-2307.

“I remember when we reached 15,000 followers in the summer of 2016,” he said. “It’s not a surprise that we’re fewer than 500 people away from getting to 20,000. It speaks volumes to how engaged Ridgefield is as a community. Not every town has a local news following like we do, and that’s something worth celebrating.”

The winner will be announced on Twitter and in the paper once the 20,000 milestone is reached.
