Charlie Pankenier, who has written extensively about famed architect Cass Gilbert, was the Owls November speaker. He focused upon Ridgefield's Fountain, designed by Gilbert, which is a storied piece of architecture. He provided interesting details about the fountain's early history and its survival through a series of trials and tribulations to its position as one of Ridgefield's famous landmarks.

The Owls Club meets at 10 a.m. on the first Thursday of each month at Founders Hall.
