Nod Hill Brewery indicated it is the first brewery in Connecticut to be powered entirely by solar energy, after installing a nearly 300-kilowatt photovoltaic array on the Ridgefield building it shares.
Under founding partners David Kaye and Robert Kaye, Nod Hill is on track to brew nearly 2,000 barrels of beer this year, with the Nod Hill Brewery taproom open Thursday through Sunday at 137 Ethan Allen Highway and food trucks providing catering.
The Nod Hill project was led by Smart Roofs Solar of Newtown.
