The Ridgefield chapter of the National Charity League Inc. held its annual tea celebrating friendship and philanthropy Sunday, March 4, at Rolling Hills Country Club in Redding. The chapter’s Class of 2018, featuring graduating seniors and their mothers, pictured here, were celebrated at the ceremony for six years of service to local philanthropies. As part of the tea, there was a fashion show highlighting clothes from local stores. The speaker for the ceremony was Nargis Alizada, chaplain for Fairfield University, who shared her family’s struggles fleeing Afghanistan.
