For the third week in a row, Ridgefield drivers will have to sit in lines of alternating one-way traffic at the Route 35 bridge site.

Ryan Wodjenski of the state Department of Transportation (DOT) told The Press Wednesday, April 18, that Bloomfield-based Baier Construction plans to alternate traffic at the site Monday, April 23, through Friday, April 27.

The contractor will be on site throughout this week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. stopping traffic intermittently.

All plans for traffic next week are based on good weather, Wodjenski said.

The state hopes the project will be completed by May.
