Anthony F. LoFrisco will give an author talk about his recent book, The Lofrisco Family Cookbook: How Josie brought Sicily to Brooklyn, on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m. at the Ridgefield Library.

The cookbook is part cookbook, part memoir. The author, son of Sicilian immigrants in the early 1900s, shares his mother’s recipes and stories of growing up in an Italian-American neighborhood in Brooklyn. He intersperses recipes for lasagna and chicken cacciatore with reminiscences of his childhood days, when food was always the center of attention and “mama ruled the kitchen.”

LoFrisco lives and cooks in Wilton.
