The Ridgefield Library has announced the hiring of Andrea Forsyth as the Library’s new assistant director. Forsyth is a public library professional with over eighteen years experience in Connecticut.

She has most recently served as the head of reference at the Cyrenius H. Booth Library in Newtown, including serving as the interim assistant director.

Forsyth holds a Bachelor of Arts in History, with an English minor, from Mount Holyoke College and a Master of Library Science from Southern CT State University.

“Andy has a wealth of experience with all aspects of library operations and management, the creation and implementation of public programming as well as library-community collaborations, especially with community nonprofits and businesses,” said Brenda McKinley, director of the Ridgefield Library. “She also has grant writing and communications expertise.”

Forsyth will join the Ridgefield Library team Monday, July 30.
