Ridgefield High School students will be running a short activity Wednesday, March 14, to memorialize those who lost their lives on Feb. 14 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla.

The activity will run from approximately 10:02 a.m. to 10:32 a.m. As this is a student activity, it is open only to students and staff of RHS.

“We are proud of the work and commitment our students have demonstrated,” said RHS Principal Stacey Gross Tuesday, March 6.

Gross said any students who would prefer not to participate may go to the school’s library, and that teachers will be present to supervise.

“In line with our desire to provide a secure and safe experience for all involved, the RHS campus will be closed from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.” Gross added. “Also, there will be an increased Ridgefield police presence on campus throughout the day.”
