Nod Hill Brewery has collaborated with the Hickories Farm to produce a seasonal seltzer called “First Run.”

Brewery owners Robert and David Kaye announced last week that the new product is made up of maple, hickory, and oak sap. Farmers at the Hickories and brewers from Nod Hill united boots and hands to tap trees, collect the first run of sap, and carbonate and preserve it in a can.

The new product will have a limited-edition run, however, as the sap from trees was produced only Feb. 14 and 15.
