The Watercolor Enthusiast, an exhibition of paintings by Sally Aldrich, Michelle Brewster, Mary Pat Devine, and Madyn Gwynne, opens at the Ridgefield Guild of Artists Saturday, April 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. in conjunction with the exhibition in the main gallery.

What began as a group of painters working together as a class taught by Sally Aldrich then evolved energetically and independently as each found her own voice.

With a bachelor of fine arts degree from Pratt Institute, graduating cum laude, Michelle Brewster has painted since childhood. After retiring from a career in interior design, she began studying watercolor.

Aldrich, who retired from teaching art at Pleasantville High School in 1995 and began a new life in Ridgefield, teaches painting through Ridgefield Continuing Education.

The guild is located at 34 Halpin Lane. Call 203-438-8863 for more information.
