Freidenrich to attend U.S. Naval Academy
Lucille Freidenrich, daughter of Amy and Eric Freidenrich of Market Street, has been accepted to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.
Lucille, a senior at the Kent School, received nominations from both Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Congressman Jim Himes.
She was captain of both the varsity cross country and swim teams, and plays the oboe in the band and the orchestra.
The Ridgefield resident has served as dorm prefect, and maintained high honors throughout her tenure at Kent.
Lucille will report to the the academy in June for Induction Day. She will be there for four years, followed by five years of service in either the Navy or Marines.
Her older brother, Theodore, is a member of the U.S. Naval Academy, Class of 2020.
Her parents are the owners of Ross Bread Shoppe and Coffee House. Amy Freidenrich is a member of the Board of Finance. Eric Freidenrich serves on the board of the Ridgefield Playhouse.
