Historical fiction author William D. McEachern will be speaking at Founders Hall in Ridgefield at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13. This seminar is open to the public.

His talk is entitled: "A Half Hour In Hell on the Antietam: A Soldier's Experience in Battle in the Civil War.” McEachern will utilize the words of actual soldiers who fought in the Battle of Antietam and will deal with only a small portion of the battle, because, as was typical for that day, many units became decimated in very short periods of time.

William D. McEachern is author of the critically acclaimed novel Casting Lots, the Caledonia Series. The second novel in the series, New Caledonia: A Song of America, was a Finalist for the Book Excellence Award for best historical fiction for 2017.
