Farm for Brooke: Farmers market fundraiser to benefit Brooke Blake

There will be a farmers market in front of Bissell’s Pharmacy on 23 Governor Street Sunday, Aug. 26, from noon to 4 p.m.

The farmers market will be a fundraiser for Brook Blake, a young Ridgefield girl battling DIPG — a rare brain tumor.

Residents are asked to drop-off veggies, fruits and flowers from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at 44 Mulberry Street.

“Do you have a vegetable garden and worry about what to do with all that zucchini and all those tomatoes in August? Do you have a flowering fruit tree or flower gardens?” asked event organizer Kirtsten Cerulli. “Please consider donating some of your bounty to a good cause. We are welcoming donations of locally-grown produce, flowers and baked goods.”

Toy Chest, Whip Salon, A2 Salon, and Bissell’s are sponsoring the event.
