Christopher Landers promoted to Major in Army’s aviation branch
Christopher Landers was recently promoted to the rank of Major in the Army’s aviation branch. He is currently completing a graduate degree in defense and strategic studies at the US Naval War College in Newport, R.I. and will report to Fort Stewart, Ga. upon graduation in June.
A graduate of Ridgefield High School in 2004 and the US Military Academy at West Point in 2008. Landers is an Apache helicopter pilot-in-command and an Army Ranger, and has served in Afghanistan as well as commanded an Apache company and an Unmanned Aircraft System company.
Landers and his wife, Meagan Nota Landers, a 2002 RHS graduate and 2006 WestConn graduate, have two children ages five and three.
He is the son of Dave and Barbara Landers, formerly of Ridgefield, and the grandson of Claire Kirby who still resides in Ridgefield.
