Ridgefield Gone Country will have a new venue when it turns six this spring.

The barbecue-themed festival will be moved from Lounsbury House to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church at 351 Main Street.

The two-day event, which will feature the Connecticut state BBQ championship, will run from 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, through 5 p.m. Sunday, May 5.

Ridgefield Gone Country is presented by the Ridgefield Rotary Club. Last year’s barbecue festival attracted more than 6,000 attendees to downtown Ridgefield.
In addition to the state barbecue competition, there will also be a "Kid's Q" competition with proceeds going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation on Saturday.
