Caroline Nazworth, daughter of Laurine and Bryan Nazworth of Ridgefield, was married to Ethan Doerger, son of Chelsea and Brian Doerger of Los Gatos, Calif. on June 1. The ceremony was held at Canyonwood Ridge in Dripping Springs, Texas, just outside of Austin, with Minister Robert Burton officiating.
Victoria Nazworth and Olivia Nazworth of Ridgefield, sisters of the bride, served as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Abby Doerger, sister of the groom, from Los Gatos, Nicole Edgar of New York, Emily Matthews and Annie Murchison of Austin, and Lauren Gerber of Ridgefield. Stella Doerger, sister of the groom, served as the flower girl. The bridesmaids wore light blue floor-length gowns.
Aaron Doerger, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Stephen Nazworth, brother of the bride, of Ridgefield, Philip Martinkus and Mitchell Poltersdorf of Chicago, Patrick O’Connell of Detroit, Nick Carpenter of Denver, Cody Hanson of Los Angeles, and Alex Giobbi of Ridgefield.
The bride wore an ivory Casablanca lace fit and flare gown, with a sweetheart neckline and a cathedral train of scalloped lace. She carried a bouquet of peonies, white roses, quicksand roses, light pink ranunculus, blue delphinium, thistle, and lush greenery.
The bride and groom met in the eighth grade at Scotts Ridge Middle School in 2009. The bride graduated from Ridgefield High School in 2013 and from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017 with a bachelor of science in geology. She is currently attending the University of Kansas, where she will graduate with her master’s in geology this year. The groom graduated from Fairfield College Preparatory School in 2013 and from Marquette University in 2017 with a bachelor of science in biology. He is currently attending the University of Kansas and will be attending nursing school next year.
