Calling all closet archivists: Historical society seeks collections assistant
The Ridgefield Historical Society is looking for a detail-oriented and committed volunteer to serve as its collections assistant. All that is needed is an interest in Ridgefield history. The historical society’s archivists will train the right applicant to catalog images and documents in a simple system that is easy to learn. The ideal candidate will be available Tuesday or Thursday afternoons to apprentice with the historical society’s collections group.
The Ridgefield Historical Society is committed to enhancing its public outreach to the community, both at the Scott House and the Peter Parley Schoolhouse, as well as in collaboration with local institutions. The historical society is open to the public Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1 to 5 p.m. For more information, visit ridgefieldhistoricalsociety.org, call 203-438-5821, or email email@example.com.
