Bridge and Mah Jong are games that can be played on many levels, each of them providing a good mental workout, as well as a way to meet new people. Day and evening classes start soon through Ridgefield Continuing Education.

Beginner Bridge (Tuesdays, Jan. 30 through March 20, noon to 2 p.m.) covers the basics of bridge bidding and play and is for the total beginner and people with limited (or long ago) bridge experience.   

Basic Bridge Conventions (Wednesdays, Jan. 31 through March 21, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.) is for those returning to bridge or those with fundamental skills who want to review or learn Stayman, transfers, Jacoby 2 NT, and how to work with large point hands.

Bridge classes are eight sessions and the cost is $169.  

Mah Jongg for Beginners starts Thursday, Feb. 1, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Feb. 6, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Classes are six weeks and costs $128.
