Bobcat Boogie raises $5,300 for Barlow Mountain garden

Barlow Mountain Elementary School  had 200 students participate in its annual Bobcat Boogie on April 27.

The Bobcat Boogie is a fundraiser for the Barlow garden and other school activities related to health and wellness.

The event raised $5,300 for the ongoing operations and curriculum, as well as special projects for the campus.

All participants were entered to win prizes, including entries into the Run Like a Mother fun run and the Ridgefield Duathlon, as well as a police car ride to school.

The police car ride was won by second grader, Tre Gasparino.

He will ride to school on Thursday, May 18, arriving at Barlow Mountain at about 8:55 a.m.
