The Ridgefield Library Folk series continues this spring with guitarist Joey Leone on Sunday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. who will perform “Shades of Blues in America: A History of the Blues.”

Leone, an acclaimed musician and a music historian, will be performing with two other musicians. Together they will cover the history, influence and impact of American blues music through songs, stories and historical facts. Leone tours the country with his blues history program and has also toured as a sideman guitar for many high profile artists including, Wilson Pickett, Chaka Kahn and Junior Wells.

The next concert in the Ridgefield Library Folk series will take place on Sunday, May 20 and will feature the band, Front Country who “blend everything from high-lonesome mountain music to old grass harmonies.”

Tickets are free thanks to the Friends of the Library and are available at the door from 1:00 p.m. on the day of the show. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and the concert begins at 2:00 p.m.
