ARTique 2018, the latest incarnation of the popular art boutique, holds its opening reception at St. Stephen’s Church on Thursday, November 15, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., just in time for holiday shopping. The evening will provide a first look at one-of-a-kind handcrafted items and will feature live music and refreshments. ARTique continues Friday, November 16, with new convenient shopping hours — from noon to 7 p.m. — and Saturday from 10 to 5. It showcases the work of members of Connecticut Clay Artists (CCA) and guest artists who work in other media. There is no charge for admission.
CCA members will exhibit a broad range of works in clay — functional, sculptural and decorative, including unique items for the holiday. Guest artists will show works in other media, including jewelry, fused glass, forged iron, wood, hand-painted silks, and photography. In a first for ARTique, one guest artist, Paul Scott, will be selling edible creations - handcrafted infused oils and vinegars.
