U.S. News & World Report ranks Ridgefield High School fourth in state

Ridgefield High School has received another top 10 ranking from U.S. News & World Report.

After finishing fifth in Connecticut in 2018, RHS has moved up one spot in the annual high school rankings to No. 4.

Darien High School, Weston High School, and Achievement First Hartford Academy ranked above Ridgefield, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Ridgefield came in 317th nationally — an improvement from its No. 322 ranking last year.

"Ridgefield High School is ranked fourth within Connecticut," the U.S. News & World Report wrote in its overview. "Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement coursework and exams. The AP participation rate at Ridgefield High School is 71%. The total minority enrollment is 14%, and 2% of students are economically disadvantaged. Ridgefield High School is the only high school in the Ridgefield School District."

Rounding out the top 10 are: Connecticut IB Academy, New Canaan High School, Staples High School, Simsbury High School, Wilton High School, and Academy of Aerospace and Engineering.
