New this summer are swim lessons at Martin Park Beach for children ages 4-5, available exclusively for those with memberships. Lessons run one day a week on Thursdays or two days a week on Wednesdays and Fridays. Member registration for lessons at the Rec Center and Martin Park Beach begins June 8; open registration begins June 12.

Additionally, Parks & Rec’s Babysitting Course will prepare your child to become one of the most capable, trusted and in-demand sitters in your neighborhood. The one-day class is available for children ages 11-15, and meets from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, at the Recreation Center. Each student will receive an American Red Cross handbook, emergency reference guide and CD.
